A cool app to get to know what's happening around. An awesome attempt to filter out signal from noise. Helps to find people with similar interests. Kinda works like a pinterest for cities.
tried this app lastweek, its pretty and cool, its ease to use the interface was refreshing , really deserves a try.
How is this different than Yelp? You can add friends on there, and see where they have been. That's also a much bigger scope than NYC. Pulse is a cool name, but I think this app is Dead On Arrival

Pulse NYC is a fun and easy way to capture what your friends are upto right now, through visual impact...it may not necessarily be a business you are reviewing and your friends come only to check it out when needed. Pulse is more alive...
Could you share a funny picture of your friend while spying on them RIGHT THIS MOMENT and other friends get a laugh, just by selecting the right category and a picture and without even writing a comment?...I guess that explains how different it is than yelp and many other similar social sites and the potential it has.
