Can we continue adding features to our application after the deadline has passed?

Hi Edward,
Thanks for writing. Per the official rules: "After the Submission Period has ended, the Submission cannot be modified in any way until after Judging and Public Voting have ended."
My website is always under ongoing construction. While I will not update my "submission", as in the description or video, the link I provide will be to the web application that is constantly undergoing changes. Can I really not improve my application as I normally would until after the judging period is over?

Hi Ben,
Correct, you cannot make any changes to your application until Judging and Public Voting have ended.
This is Katherine K. I put the wrong link for my You Tube video, and my submission is not in the gallery yet. My question: is there a way to switch the video now?
Sincerely,
Katherine K.

Hi Katherine,
Thanks for writing. Since the submission period has ended, it is no longer possible to edit your submission. It wouldn't be fair to the other participants. I hope you understand.
I would like to know, when will be the next NYC BigApps challenge?
Can I submit my work again with the correct video for the next NYC BigApps challenge, if the judge panel rejects my submission because of the wrong video link this time?
Sincerely,
Katherine K.

Hi Vivek and Katherine,
Thanks for writing. Let me address your questions one by one.
Vivek, updates to the database used by the application are okay as long as they don't substantively change the user experience or functionality of the app. In other words, updating or adding to existing data types is fine, but adding new types of data that would upgrade/change the app functionality is not allowed.
Katherine, we hope to hold the competition again next year. You can certainly submit again next year.
This is critical, Apple review team might send back with something that need to be fixed before appstore approval.
We are still in "waiting for review" status, however get something back from Apple is high likely happen.

Hi Bill and Robert,
Thanks for writing. Per the official rules: "After the Submission Period has ended, the Submission cannot be modified in any way until after Judging and Public Voting have ended."
To be fair to other contestants, judges need to be able to review the version of the application that was created before the submission deadline. We have to ensure that what the judges review is the app submitted before the deadline, bugs and all.

Thanks, I understand. I looked all over for it but I guess I missed that.

Just to confirm, are updates to the database used by the application considered a change to the application?

Will do.
How about app bug fixes? Can we update the App Store apps before judging ends?

OK, we kept every builds.
Then the judges will have to use TestFlight to try install 1/25's build instead of download from AppStore if there is any changes requested by Apple.
Glad that Apple approved our app without asking for any change! :)
